Since you'll be flying into Mexico City International Airport, consider spending extra time in CDMX before or after the wedding weekend. The city offers incredible food, culture, and history worth exploring.

Planning Your CDMX Visit

Getting Around

Uber is safe, affordable, and works great throughout the city. The Metro is efficient but can be crowded during rush hour.

Altitude Adjustment

Mexico City is at 7,350 feet elevation. Take it easy your first day if you're sensitive to altitude - stay hydrated and avoid heavy alcohol.

Reservations

Book popular restaurants and museums (especially Frida Kahlo Museum) in advance. Weekends fill up quickly.

Language

Download Google Translate for offline use. Many people in tourist areas speak some English, but Spanish basics go a long way!

Frida's former home in Coyoacán, preserved as a museum. Book tickets in advance as it sells out!

Palacio de Bellas Artes

Stunning art nouveau/art deco building with Diego Rivera murals and rotating exhibitions. Check if there's a performance scheduled!

Chapultepec Park & Castle

One of the largest city parks in the world. The castle offers great views and houses a history museum.

Great place for authentic Mexican crafts and souvenirs without the touristy feel.

Mercado San Juan

Weekend Tianguis
